Khosrow Khalighi, M.Ac. (UK), Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM), L.Ac., the founder and director of the Five Element Trainings, has been practicing and teaching Classical Five Element Acupuncture since 1979. He has trained a number of leading medical practitioners who have incorporated this approach into their practices.
Trained in Classical Medicine by Professor J. R. Worsley, world renowned authority on Classical Five Element Acupuncture, Khosrow founded The Traditional Acupuncture Clinic in San Francisco where he has been in private practice since 1979.
He has lectured and taught extensively in medical and acupuncture schools such as University of California Medical School in San Francisco, Traditional Acupuncture Institute in Maryland, Worsley institute, American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, California Institute of Integral Studies and has been a presenter at such conferences as the International Conference on AIDS.
Shirley Nichols, M.Ac., Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM), L.Ac., received her training in Five Element acupuncture from Dr. J.R. Worsley and graduated from the Worsley Institute of Classical Acupuncture in 1990. Since then, in the tradition of this system of medicine, she has worked continuously under the mentorship of Khosrow Khalighi. She has been in private practice in San Mateo since 1991, and teaching with the Five Element Trainings program since its inception in 1993.
